I might have a slight problem

So since my last backlog update I’ve added: Durga I, Sol Raptor, AUV Amaterasu Regalia, Noir, Ilshana, MGEX Strike Freedom

Also I needed to put the Virtue box sideways so you can properly see just how massive that kit is (well not really like size massive but weight massive).

Since then I’ve built: MG Kyrios, HG Calibarn, HG Schwarzette, HG Guntank, 30MS option part set 6, 30MS Luluce (mid progress while I figure out how to make the noir jacket work).

Be warned and stay safe kids. Plastic crack is real.

HG FA-78 Full Armor Gundam (Thunderbolt Ver.)

Thunderbolt has, without a doubt, some of the wildest mobile suit designs! Full Armor is so chunky and stark even before adding the absurd backpack. I'm completely in love with the bold design.

As high grade kits go this guy has a few too many stickers for my taste. None of them are too awkward to put on, even the big orange patches on the shields were pretty easy to get right, but it would have been nice to have a few molded parts for more of the vents. Funny enough I actually opted against most of the optional stickers because I didn't want to detract from the simplicity of the suit's design. This is your only option for a 1/144 scale Full Armor unfortunately since there is no real grade of him :(

A detail that I really love on this guy is the texture on the joints. I love that they bothered to mold the crinkly texture. Plus it's a delight to do panel lining on.

Quick 2023 Summary

Basically my favorite stuff from this year (it's irrelevant wether it was made this year or not):

Favorite Manga: Ikoku Nikki- Tomoko Yamashita. (A 35 year old novelist and her orphaned 15 year old niece have to adapt to their new life together).

Favorite Graphic Novel: Messy Roots-Laura Gao. (A memoir about a Wuhanese young woman growing up in America).

Favorite Anime: Take a wild guess... Also, Mononoke (Miniseries part surreal horror, part folklore, part murder mistery).

Favorite Book: This Is How You Lose the Time War-Amal El-Mohtar and Max Gladstone. (Sci-fi, lesbian enemies to friends to lovers with time travel sheenanigans, it's way better than it sounds).

Favorite Movie: Asteroid City-Wes Anderson. (Fun times with aliens and theather! :D :D).

Favorite Series: Scott Pilgrim Takes Off! (Best adaptation of the graphic novels).

Favorite Gunpla: HG Gundam Aerial, best introduction to the hobby. Also HG FA-78 Full Armor Gundam Thunderbolt ver, it has kept me entertained for weeks also it looks really cool.
